Claudius Linossier Dinanderie Charger
This French Art Deco Charger, by Claudius Linossier, was created using the technique known as dinanderie, which involved decorating hammering out copper vessels to produce subtle but beautiful gradations of color. The charger features concentric circles of decoration including a serpentine border, brass and silver diamonds, volute pattern, a reverse scallop medallion of pebble silver and brass inlay and a small spiral center. The decoration is composed of a radially striated caput mortuum and raw umber ground
