SHIPPING & RETURNS POLICY


RETURN POLICY

  • In Store Purchases: For in-store purchases at Macklowe Gallery, you have five (5) business days to return your purchase for any reason for a full refund. We allow up to thirty (30) business days for store credit only. All sales are final after thirty (30) business days. There are no exchanges or refunds for jewelry, furniture, or decorative arts pieces that have been worn, altered, or damaged in any way, and all returns and exchanges will undergo a Quality Control (QC) inspection to confirm this, which takes one (1) to three (3) business days. Following the QC inspection, a Macklowe Gallery employee will be in touch with you to confirm your refund and/or store credit amount. 
  • Online Purchases: For online purchases at Macklowe Gallery, you have five (5) business days to return your purchase for any reason for a full refund. We understand that it is difficult to make a purchase online without having first seen the piece in person, so you are welcome to return jewelry, furniture, or decorative arts, however, we ask that you contact us in a timely manner to make us aware of your return, and to discuss potential return shipping solutions. Once you contact us, a Macklowe Gallery employee will find a solution for your return on a case-by-case basis. The five (5) day return period begins the day you receive your order, and returns must be shipped by the tenth day. We will refund the purchase in the same way as you paid initially, once the item has returned safely to our store and has undergone a quality control (QC) inspection. 
  • Important Note: We will only accept items for return that are in the original condition as when they were shipped, with the original packaging. Returned items that have been altered or changed in any way from their original condition will not be accepted for return. If you notice any problems with the piece upon arrival, please contact us immediately via e-mail or phone.   • ORDER PROCESSING

    • After you place your order, a Macklowe Gallery representative will be contacting you promptly to confirm shipping arrangements and process your order. This typically takes 2-3 business days.
    • Customers who place orders after 3pm EST will be contacted and their orders processed the next business day. Please note we cannot ship out items before confirming details by phone.
    • We reserve the right to refuse, cancel or terminate an order at our discretion that may violate our Terms of Use or due to suspicious activity. If we have to cancel your order, any charges that we have directly placed to your payment method in connection with your order will be refunded in full. Any other fees charged by your financial institution, such as foreign transaction fees, are the responsibility of the customer. Please see our full Terms of Use for more details.

    SHIPPING

    • We are delighted to offer complimentary overnight domestic (US) shipping on all orders via FedEx and UPS for all jewelry orders. We offer overnight domestic (US) shipping on furniture and decorative arts purchases for a fee, based on the size and weight of the item purchased. A Macklowe Gallery employee will be in touch with you after your online purchase to arrange shipping as well as insurance. To ensure secure delivery of your order, Macklowe Gallery does not ship to post office boxes. Macklowe Gallery is able to accept post office box addresses for your billing needs. 
      • Shipping quotes are determined by dimensional weight, which is based on the item size, not the actual item weight, and shipping distance. Macklowe Gallery passes the direct cost for shipping to the customer. There is no mark up on these costs.
      • Shipping is based on dimensional weight and covers broader geographic areas. This includes shipping to the entire continental United States, and the rest of the world. 
      • For shipping cost on decorative arts, furniture, and lighting, submit your order and a shipping quote will be provided to you within 24 to 48 hours by a Macklowe Gallery employee.
        • If you accept the quote, your order will be confirmed and the item will be shipped to you. If you reject the quote, your order will be canceled and you will not be charged. 
        • If the product selected provides free shipping (jewelry orders within the domestic United States), your order will be automatically confirmed and the item will be shipped to you.
        • Please note, if your item is being shipped to a country outside of the United States, you will be required to acknowledge that customs duties and taxes may apply and are your responsibility.

    • All jewelry orders are insured to the full order amount by Macklowe Gallery. For furniture and decorative arts purchases, insurance will be determined based on the customer’s preference; in these instances, a Macklowe Gallery employee will be in touch with you directly following your online order to proceed with arrangements.     • All purchases that are shipped will require a signature upon receipt. If there is any deviation from these delivery guidelines, there is no insurance coverage.
    • As soon as orders are confirmed and processed, they will be shipped out, and tracking information issued. You will receive an email with your tracking information as soon as it becomes available. A Macklowe Gallery employee will be in contact with you directly throughout this process. 
    • If you require Saturday delivery, please make sure to note this in the shipping correspondence with us at email@macklowegallery.com
    • International customers are responsible for all import duties, taxes, etc.

    SALES TAX

    • Macklowe Gallery is currently registered to collect sales tax in every state in the United States that imposes a sales tax. Sales tax will be automatically applied to your order based on applicable state and local tax laws and shipping destination. 
    • The terms contained herein are subject to change as taxation regulations continue to evolve. Macklowe Gallery continuously monitors state and local tax laws to ensure compliance. 
    • Customers shall be responsible for compliance with applicable laws and regulations regarding payment of all use taxes, duties, and other taxes, and the declaration of goods in their state or country of residence. Your purchase may be subject to use tax unless it’s specifically exempt from taxation. For any purchase which Macklowe Gallery does not collect sales tax, your state may require you to report such purchase and remit tax on a sales, use or individual income tax return. Forms and corresponding instructions may be found on your state website.
    • Please note that there is no exemption from state sales/use tax based merely on the fact that a purchase is made over the Internet, by catalog, or by other remote means.
