Marcus & Co. Mid-Century Sapphire and Moonstone Brooch
Created by Marcus & Co. in the late 1930s, this moonstone, sapphire, aquamarine and diamond shell brooch is set in white gold. It is designed as a triton shell formed of carved moonstone and pavé-set diamond whorls, trailing a shower of watery buff-top aquamarines and oval and cushion shape sapphires, with old European diamond, pentagonal and triangular-cut diamond highlights. An original, light-hearted jewel, this chic Marcus & Co. shell clip brooch reflects the firm's playful and spirited response to 1930s Parisian jewelry styles.
