Earrings of the 1950s-1960s took on a multitude of forms, from cascades to these ear hugging clips. In the tradition of passmenterie, gold was often worked into intriguing patterned surfaces. Naturalism characterized many of the most enduring forms, such as these stylized leaves. Traditional manufacturing jewelers such as Péry & Fils and Georges Lenfant continued to manufacture gold jewelry to the highest standards for Van Cleef & Arpels as well as Mauboussin, Cartier and Boucheron.
