Victorian 15K Gold Pendant Pendant Earrings
$4,950
Created in the 1870s, these Victorian pendant earrings are composed of 15K gold. Each pendant earring is designed as an elongated domed oval and hoop with scroll, applied bead and wire motifs, centering a flexibly-set fully rounded oval drop. Impossibly light and comfortable to wear, these stylized hoops with interior drops offer intriguing volume and movement that enliven the face and eyes.

These pendant earrings date from mid-Victorian times, known as the "Grand Period" (1860-1885), a twenty-five year period when women began entering the work force, fighting for the right to vote, and securing rights to their property and earnings. Though earrings fluctuated in size, they were worn consistently throughout the period, both day and night. Gold was preferred for daytime wear.
