Claudius Linossier Dinanderie Vase
This rare French Art Deco vase, by Claudius Linossier, was created using the complex technique known as dinanderie, which involved decorating hand-raised copper vessels to produce subtle but beautiful gradations of color. This spherical vase is comprised of hammered copper and brass with geometric copper patina on a burnt umber, red and ochre ground. The vase is decorated with a frieze of diamonds with a triangular edge border circling around the mouth of the vase.
